Six of us travelled down fromAdelaide for lunch and we weren't disappointed. We had lunch and Shiraz on the deck, and our waitress, Laura, was full of fun and totally on the ball. Started with saltbush battered in tempura batter. I was a bit wary at first, but it was simply fantastic! There was also a great starter platter of yummy things, which we all hoed into with great enthusiasm and appreciation. On to the main event ...I had a handmade beef pie, which was rich and luscious. Some of the other guys had a delicate linguine with rabbit, which was equally amazing, and someone had the haloumi dish, which she said was excellent. The thrice fried chips were also awesome. The views are amazing but the food is very overpriced. The thrice cooked potato chips are great (tiny bowl for $10). The zucchini flower entree was two tablespoons worth of food that was placed in the middle of a large plate and cost $18!! (enough for 3 mouth fulls)The burger I had consisted of a cold minced meat pattie that fell apart. It did not hold together well ($27). The view is what saves this place and they have great wine too. Don't go for the dining experience as they charge silver service prices and the service is also very very slow. The total lunch experience cost over $320!! There are so many inexpensive places to eat. We are not in the French countryside and even in France foo...
Beautiful location with views and great atmosphere. Friendly staff and some interesting reds.We found the staff to be attentive.One the day we visited, their kitchen was somewhat busy. We had to wait for a very long time to get a cheese platter.The food wasn't that great. We ordered the Angus steak and found it served on a puddle of something and didn't quite like it. My friend ordered duck curry and she reckoned it was ok.I guess there is still room for them to improve particularly in the food department.

Popped in for lunch and wine tasting. Lunch was very casual and quite delicious, although having agreed to a tray of all the entrees were surprised at the paucity of bread supplied given the cost of the bread. The cheese board was delicious and the empanadas very nice. Followed up with a tasting of some exceptional wines in the cellar.

We started our visit with a wine tasting and loved most of the wines. The food was exceptional, especially the snapper and the home made pasta, which our young Italian waiter had made. SC Pannell you will see us again.
If the wines and food weren't enough, then the view is just icing on the cake! Great range of grapes, some a bit different to your normal styles but all terrific.
