This place is definitely worth the trip for an afternoon ice cream treat! Everything is made from scratch and tastes absolutely amazing. The owner is exceptionally friendly and welcoming. There are a few lovely spots outside to sit and enjoy your ice cream sandwich. My only concern is the size of the ice cream sandwich. At $9.50, you get a generous portion, but we all found it to be a bit overwhelming. None of us in my group could finish it, and we ended up tossing about a quarter of it because we just couldn't eat any more. I would have preferred a smaller size at a lower price. However, despite that, I highly recommend making the drive to check it out!
These ice cream sandwiches are to die for!!!! My husband and I loved them so much we had them for our dessert (instead of cake at our wedding! Mouette was an absolute gem to work with she was so sweet to us, even gave us a couple free ice cream bars when we arrived to pick up our order day before our wedding : The ice cream sandwiches were a huge hit with everyone our guests LOVED them! Our venue cut the sandwiches into smaller pieces so everyone could taste multiple flavours. It worked out perfectly. These are the BEST ice cream sandwiches I have EVER tasted! I don't even live on the island, but I've made it my mission to visit Sooke every summer just to indulge in these treats. We tried the Salted Caramel with Chocolate and a Lavender flavor, and both were fantastic! Honestly, I’m sure any flavor would be delightful because the quality of the ice cream is just SOOO delicious. I can't wait to enjoy these again very soon!
Without a doubt, this is the best ice cream I have ever tasted! I've traveled extensively and enjoyed many delicious ice creams, but this one stands out remarkably. The flavor combinations are unique and surprising—like the Coriander Raspberry flavor we tried. The sweetness is just right. I've had some gourmet ice cream and ice cream sandwiches in my day, but these treats are an absolute must try. I will definitely be going back and would recommend this place to anyone. So many delicious flavors that you don't know what to choose. Luckily she sells a treasure box (variety taster) which will always be my go to.
I adore this little place and visit almost every weekend since discovering it by accident. It is well worth the drive. Mouette makes the best mocha on the island and the ice cream sandwiches are elegant and masterfully crafted. This is the summer highlight of living in Metchosin. Don’t hesitate to check it out
Their ice cream sandwiches are sooo good! Every flavour sounds delicious and it's very difficult to pick one. Tried 2: Irish coffee, and Eggnog with pumpkin. Both were excellent but Irish coffee really stood out for me. They are open weekends only until end of October. Go before they close for the season!
