We have not eaten The Colwall Park Hotel for some time so on Bank Holiday Monday we decided to have dinner out . As we have not eaten here for a long time read positive reviews also the à la carte menu did look very good on there Web Site, we decide to book a table for two. On entering the Bar we noticed it had been re decorated new carpets tables New bar etc i must say it looked very nice. We sat down ordered a wine, a pint of Wye Valley which i must say was well kept tasted great, as was the Malbec . After mulling over the menu for both the bar Restaurant we decided to go for the Bar Menu.(Only because they had stopped doing the Turbot changed to the Brill) hopefully the Turbot will be bac...
A group of 6 friends went for dinner on a summer evening at a not-so-busy restaurant, and unfortunately, were left disappointed. The restaurant had a limited set menu, but had a great selection of wines. While our main courses were served altogether and were excellent, the service fell apart when it came to dessert and coffee. Desserts were brought out at different times, and we ended up canceling coffee for 3 of us due to long delays - apparently, the restaurant only had one coffee machine causing the delay. We had expected better service for a table of 6 and left feeling very disappointed.
We have eaten here a few times and again it did not disappoint. This is the first time we have taken our children as we thought the food might be too grown up for them. The children were made to feel welcome and they absolutely loved the food and rate this restaurant as one of their favorite places to eat! The food is of a very high standard and the flavours are amazing. The setting could be viewed as a little dated for some. The staff are always helpful and very knowledgeable.
We had a lovely 3-night stay at Colwall Park Hotel over New Year's. The breakfast food was fresh and delicious. For dinner, we had the option to choose from the a la carte menu or the bar menu, or even a combination of both. The quality of the food and service was excellent. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

For some reason this restaurant was not full on a Saturday night and I don't understand it because food was excellent and the service very attentive with a lot of additional goodies. If you are in the area a great place to eat
The food was beautifully presented, the service was excellent, and we were not rushed. The dishes were delicious and the menu had a nice variety to choose from. Overall, a great dining experience.
We had a fabulous evening in front of a roaring fire although it was only autumn. A really good menu choice and did not disappoint. For atmosphere, value and a good evening I thoroughly recommend.
Great food Friendly staff well signposted I travelled from Birmingham to meet up with my family. We all chose the Fish dish,it was delicious and nicely presented. Will definitely return.

We enjoy the atmosphere in the bar the meals, although a limited choice. Such a pity the wine is so expensive, we'd stay longer if it wasn't! Good live music occasionally in the bar too.
