We dined here for our 4th year anniversary and thought we would go back for our 39th. Was happy to hear they were still in business. They have restored the well-maintained historic building and we met the new owners Mom. Very pleasant women. Her daughter has only owned it for 3 weeks. They were booked for the 21st for a private wedding so we booked it for my birthday. Still a quaint atmosphere. Dinner is a five course meal with multiple choices for each course. Rachel was our server which we found out in now the new General Manager. She was amazing! I chose the bacon-wrapped filet mignon my husband chose the prime rib. Prime rib was ok it was very fatty and not a lot of flavor potatoes also not a lot of flavor green beans amazing. Peanut butter pie was not that good at all very peanut butter flavor to much. French onion soup was great. Was very surprised at how loud it was in there was our Anniversary so really wanted a very quiet dinner and it was loud in there. Staff was very pleasant. Beverages were very good.
The hostess was very accommodating in placing us in a room by ourselves as there were 7 of us including a 2 year old. It was nice to not have to worry about our littlest patron being a little loud when she got excited for her dinner to arrive. We had a kind, friendly, attentive and prompt waitress who made us feel welcome as I'd we were friends! The food was absolutely delicious!
Really enjoyed dining again here as usual. Great service, delicious food enjoyed at a leisurely pace in in a lovely, historic location. Love the multi courses. The whole expertise was good, but a little disappointed in the food. I wish it had more pronounced flavor. We got short rib and haddock and welp, that’s exactly what it tasted like. I was hoping for something more exciting and unique flavor wise. But anll around a nice dinner. The service was wonderful.
