This hotel restaurant was a short walk along the Uferpromenade. We received a very warm welcome (I had e-mailed a reservation request before leaving NY) and were seated at a table by the window overlooking the lake. Unfortunately, it was a rainy evening so we didn't have much of a view. Our waitress spoke excellent English and between her English and my German, we managed to understand all the dishes on the menu. This hotel is all a visitor to the Lake of Constance alias Bodensee is looking for. The setting of the hotel is spectacular: In the back you have the vinyards - and right in the front the lake. It's a 5 mininute walk into the beautiful medieval city of Meersburg and just a few steps to the great thermal baths of Meersburg.The hotel is really cosy and everybody is friendly and helpful. You can see that it is family-run and the staff well-trained.
