We planned to celebrate and have a nice meal in the Seerose after my son completed the Ironman Event . From the Start on walking into the restaurant we felt uncomfortable .We were put on a table and we asked if we could be changed to the lake view , he said it was to dark ( yet there were a lot people in that location and a large lamp beside the table ) We moved , The waiter did not like it at all , we went to order , he then said it will rain in 30 mins , so we said it's ok we will move with the other people sat at there tables, he said very abruptly That's why we put you on that table , we then said we didn't know it would rain which he replied any one can see it's going to rain just look...
Situated a little out of Zurich (8 minutes) on the lake shore, this is a fine place for lunch on a sunny day. The best tables are outside overlooking the lake and mountains. No extra charge, however I do wish Switzerland, and other countries would ban smoking at restaurants. Food and smoking do not mix well! It is a shame one has to sit inside on a sunny day to avoid the smokers at tables outside (Al Fresco). Anyhow the food was fresh and very well presented. The menu was adequate for lunch but might be a little light for dinner. Wine list excellent with a choice of local, European and other wines. Situated right by the most stunning lake Zurich, Seerose has a phenomenal location. We choose to have drinks outdoors and then moved inside for a pre selected sit down meal that was prepared just for our group of 20. Fantastic food, friendly staff, good service, great cocktails and the best location make this place a true winner for an occasion celebration event. Must visit if you're in Zurich.
Perfect! We did our wedding dinner and the food was really good. However, the main reason that made the experience amazing was the service! All our guests had comented it. Waiters did an amazing job, specially Luis, making everyone feeling comfortable and attended! All things that we had requested were done efficiently and always with a smile!! My friends and I went here for dinner and it was awesome. The food is really delicious, not much choice but still great. The restaurant is located where the Zurich sea is so you get a stunning view, while enjoying your meal. Overall a 10/10. A tip, would be to make a reservation early if you want to sit right at the view.
I was taken here for dinner in August 2019 by friends we were staying with when on an oversea trip. we sat outside in the beautiful evening watched the amazing sunset while enjoying our dinner. The Dover sole was with baby potatoes sauce was very nice. Although I'm not sure if it was value for money.
Visited 3 times in 2 years period. No more for me. Only the views have been pleasant. Food and service mostly terrible. No value for the money.
Amazing Location. Fish is good, Little expensive but worth the trip.
