Everything is just right and of the moment. Industrial setting with superb lighting and space, spot on service and wonderful sommelier and delicious food.Four of us had a brilliant evening in this fabulous restaurant arriving at 7.30 and not leaving until past 1am. Every course of the 8 course menu (you don't have to have 8!) was a blast. The highlight was the Black Cod which I believe is back on the menu after popular demand. The most perfect flavour and presentation. Up there with the great dishes I've eaten. The paired wines were extremely interesting and how refreshing to see a truly global range not just from Austria.To Andreas and his fantastic team all I can say is thank you for a great memory.
You get what you can expect from a two-star restaurant. Innovative and creative cuisine (don't miss the foie gras with tiny slices of smoked eel!) and an excellent wine pairing. The ambiente is debatable (a tad too 'kitschy' for my taste) but the setting in an old blacksmith's shop is quite unique. Impeccable service with sufficient time given to explaining food and wine in great detail. Will come back!
My family went to this restaurant for a dinner during our vacation. The place has quirky decor, look like an interior design firm/toilet showroom. We were put in a private room without air con and at the end we couldn't breath. The food was super slow, service was not attentive. Food was like roller coaster, up and down. At the end, we decided to leave the restaurant before we finished the whole course.
We had an early dinner and enjoyed every dish. The food was modern, well-presented and innovative. The staff attentive and knowledgeable. The whole setup - industrial warehouse touch - adds to the futuristic modern atmosphere of the place and matches the food well.One thing to note though - don't go there on a hot day. No aircon means +30 C inside the restaurant. Not for faint-hearted!
