The Soulongtang (ox bone broth) here is very hearty and one of the best 'homey ' type foods you can get around the Allston area. Price is reasonable for the quality quantity of food that you get. They have a selection of Combo sets you can choose from that come with one soup and one meat dish of your choice from the menu. Highly recommend that one as you save some money. The Samkyupsal Gui is their traditional pork belly dish which was delicious. Also tried the Jokbal (marinated pig 's feet) tender and flavorful! They also give you a variety of banchan side dishes which serve as light appetizers that prepare you for the main course.
I ordered the Bossam as my main dish, and it was quite good. The portion size was satisfying, and the flavor was enjoyable. The dried radish served on the side paired well with the pork. However, I wish the pickled cabbage had a more balanced flavor between the stem and the leaves. The accompaniments were average: the kimchi was sweet, which I appreciate, but it was a bit more sour than I expected due to the fermentation. The fried tofu was cold and dry, while the fish cake tasted bland and overly sweet. Unfortunately, the rice had a very unpleasant odor.
This restaurant serves delicious Korean food who would have thought, with this name. We came with a small group and were barely able to eat all we ordered, there is just so many great dishes we wanted to try. I only give this 4 stars because I found the place to be quite dirty, including bathrooms, floors, tables, and all. Granted, we came towards the closing time, but still, too much grime.
Affordable Korean cuisine. We arrived on a weekday after 8:30 PM and there was no wait, although the restaurant was still bustling. Our food came out quickly after we placed our order, and it was delicious. However, I found the kimchi side dish to be the least impressive. That said, getting a dinner for under $30 per person these days in Boston is quite a deal.

Peter had the afternoon off from work, so we decided to check out Seoul Soulongtang in Allston. Half of their menu consists of different variations of beef soup, while the rest features combination plates. What is Soulongtang, you ask? It's a hearty white ox bone broth served with brisket, marrow, and thin flour noodles, all seasoned with salt and scallions.
The quality of the food is good, but it is just okay overall. The soulongtang is flavorful but lacks seasoning. The pork belly dish, on the other hand, was tasty. I recommend choosing the pork belly over the soup, unless you prefer the spicy option.
The Korean food here is hearty and comforting, with generous portion sizes. While the kalbi and seafood pancake were just average, the japchae was exceptionally delicious.
It's amusing that my friend and I ended up preferring each other's dishes. Also, the pickled radish appetizer was exactly to my taste.

Need to wait in line but was pretty worth it! Atmosphere was very homey and the food was soooo good! Love the spicy broth!
The spicy cold noodle combo is rare in Boston area. Delicious!
