Settebello- Pasadena

We came to Settebello because this place was recommended by a friend who is actually Italian. That's saying a lot! We loved the natural ingredients, the brick oven and the exceptional service that we received (there weren't many customers during lunch on a Friday when we went, so lucky us). One of our employees stated that the pizza dough is just like naan, which is so true in the best way fluffy and light, yet perfect for holding up the ingredients on the pizza. The cocktails were great too, and there's nothing bad that I can say about our visit!

I reserved 6 people on Tuesday night. We stayed in Pasadena for the film festival and wanted a place to get bites and drinks before we went to the theatre. About 15 of our friends showed up unexpectedly (because you know LA, and we basically filled a huge part of the almost empty restaurant. Instead of hosting other waiters and managers going out their way to help us get more seats and put more tables, we were chased for the care of everyone themselves (by more seats, etc.). Super disappointing as the food wasn't so great to start.

The pizza is very good because the ingredients are fresh and good. However, like often happens here, they leave the pizza waiting for some minutes before getting to your table and that makes the pizza soggy and a little chewy. It should be there on your table just after it leaves the oven and that makes the pizza tasting sooo better. Overall the place is great and I like it and I will come back for sure !

I took my friends there for the first time and they loved it as much as I have. The service was perfect and the food outstanding. The gluten free crust is the best I've seen yet. It looks and tastes like the real thing.

Outstanding, as always. Love this place ... authentic Neapolitan wood fired pizza, not an easy thing to find in L.A. And a small, but great selection of rotating beers on tap.

This a great spot for before the Pasadena Playhouse theatre! We were served in a timely manner and the food was great....Never disapoints!
