I had found Settler on Yelp and I really wanted to eat here during our one day in Salem. After walking all day, Settler was out last stop on our day in the Witch City. I never anticipated to have my best culinary experience in Salem, but here I am telling the tale. Settler has a 3 course meal style of serving. We received the chef picked appetizers. I don?t have the exact names, but it was a ricotta style dip, a pumpkin hummus, and another dish that was like a falafel. It was all phenomenal. We also decided to get a cocktail called a Yusuf Highball. It was refreshing, light and exactly what we needed after a long day of ghost stories, witch trial history and people watching. Once we had our...

So insanely amazing. If you enjoy food?and people?and appreciate the passion that went behind curating a perfect seasonal menu, do not pass this up. This is an 8 (ish) table indoor establishment with an outdoor area as well. The staff is perfectly attentive. The hot/cold plates are small and as they suggest, you should get 3-4 per table for just two people. The flavors are immense and not quickly forgotten. This will be the best meal you?ll ever have. That statement deserves a period. And, not to be forgotten, we enjoyed the bustling atmosphere and closeness to your neighboring tables that left you with friends who you bonded with over experiencing the same unique slice of this beautiful, so...

This was without a doubt one of the best dining experiences I have ever had. My friends and I stayed in Salem during the weekend of the Boston Marathon and came across this place as we were exploring town. We didn?t have a reservation but went around 9pm on a Saturday and they were so flexible and accommodating. The food was unbelievably delicious and would have eaten there two days in a row if we did not have other plans. The pesto-based pasta was hands down the best pasta I?ve ever had and beat some of the pastas i had in North Boston throughout the week. The chefs and hosts even went out of their way to provide an amazing list of food recommendations in Boston for us to visit. I will go o...

Pretty restaurant. The food was fine. The service wasn't great at all. My friend and I were essentially ignored half the time. We ordered a bottle of wine and a few items to share. The bottle of wine took over 30 minutes to come out, as well as the bread for the cheese plate. We ended up essentially ordering through the food runners/manager ? as we didn't end up seeing the waitress again until we closed out. Without warning, when she dropped the check she told us that she needed the table again immediately. We still had half a bottle of wine, that we essentially had to chug. Really not a great feeling after spending 200 on dinner.

Top place to eat in Salem. We went here after reading several great reviews and it surely was what everybody was saying. The food was incredible. My wife and I had the muscles and burratta for appetizers both were packed with flavor and very fresh. For entrées we had the chitarra and bucatini. The chitarra was had a great depth of flavor and a nice kick of heat and my wife?s bucatini the bolognese was super rich and made the dish! Cause they were able to accommodate my dietary restrictions with no issue! Would highly recommend anyone coming to Salem to try them out!

Settler is easily the best restaurant in Salem, if not Boston. I hate writing this review because I don?t want my weekly reservations to become harder to get, but the team at Settler deserves each of these stars, and some. Quickly flipping through my camera roll to share a few shots of what you can look forward to here. No reason to write a pro/con list as this restaurant genuinely has zero cons

Update: I have gone here many more times and I am never disappointed. I can't upload any more pictures lol, but food is the best in town. Service is impeccable and always on top of everything. The ambiance both inside and out are great. I prefer inside. But outside is just as nice. They also have heaters outside for the cooler weather.

So delicious! I had a fantastic time, the food was delicious! My favorite was the chilled corn soup with pesto and incredible pickled corn. Amazing! And a dessert of passion fruit sorbet, strawberries, basil and sparkling wine. The photos do not adequately show how beautiful and tasty everything was.
