Shaheens Indian Bistro

I visited with two business visitors from Germany. I'll set their expectations high as in my experience shaheens never disappointed. the consistent excellence of adham and his family is unique in durham. I say this is actually durhams no 1 restaurant. we had a fantastic meal, dressed with a mix and the result, as expected, was from my guests that this was a wonderful experience. as always the onion bhaji signature court was the exit point, but everything to follow was excellent. recommended without reservation!

Haven’t been here for years, but went in this evening before a concert in the Cathedral. What a meal! So fresh and original. The chef came out to see us and asked how the food was and she talked us through dishes we might like to try…her recommendations were very well received. The only issue was us…the food was so lovely, we over-ordered, and felt terrible for wasting such good food because we were full! When we go back we know the score and rein in the over consumption

we ate here during a last trip to durham. the staff was friendly and friendly and very professional. the food selection was great. food quality was even better, that was one of the best Indian meals we had in Britain. would recommend booking as it can be occupied. worth money was very good to eat extremely good and very good priced. Remember to eat here, they stop thinking, they just do.

really surprised to see negative reviews. we had one of the best curries we had ever had at the last weekend in shaheen and the service was impeccable. they are a really friendly family business and we chat for old with them all. can not recommend this place very good enough and will be very soon back! Thanks again.

Me and three of my friends ate here during an overnight stay in Durham. We were waited on by a gentleman called Adam, he was a lovely guy, very chatty and extremely helpful. The food was all lovely and the service was brilliant. Adam was a lovely guy and we all wish him the best in his future.

The food was incredible and delicious. It was the first time I have ever finished all the dishes in an Indian restaurant. I will definitely recommend this place and I will be returning.

Lots of great options for curry, rice, nan and sides. We had the Malayan and Balti curries with a garlic nan and roghani rice. Delicious, and friendly staff!
