I did not really take away that often, I was shopping and starving, so I decided to order food. my usual is butter huh with a garlic nan. the butter chicken is usually a almond-based curry, no seasoned. when I ordered, they said it was 45 minutes. I live in eastwood, so I came here to collect it, it was actually an hour. apparently a charge of submissions had come at a time. so there was a delay. When I came home, I opened the curry and it was a tomato-based curry, incredibly sharp, it burned to eat. So I wasn't impressed. Surprised at bad reviews on here. We've lived just near by this take away for 2 years and use it very often. Beautiful food, all tasty and fresh, the sauces and meats are gorgeous and the naans are soft and fresh. The website has a...constant offer of 20% discount so use that when you order rather than phoning. Even though the staff on the phone are lovely. Takes a while for delivery but never longer than they tell you. Around 45 minutes as standard. I didn't find the food salty at all and I enjoy salty food! Maybe it was that particular dish? Highly recommend! Oh and you get free bits and bobs every so often and free bottles of pop and Bombay potatoes over a certain amount you spend.

We ordered for 4 adults on New Year's Eve 2015, using their own brand new app. It was very easy to use and the final bill had 20% deducted to encourage you to order this way. We decided to collect rather than wait for delivery...on such a busy night, the whole process took under an hour from ordering to collecting. The portions were very good and the food was piping hot and delicious. This was our 1st visit to Shalimar even though we're local, but now we've discovered them we shall definitely be returning

Despite ordering from shalimar before with having had fantastic reviews of the meals I had previously ordered, tonight it was poor. Poor value and poor quality. The chicken tikka paneer, that cost £4.50, came as 3 small lumps of chicken with a sprinkle of what...seemed to be grated cheddar cheese?! Other items on order were just as disappointing. used to love takeaways from shalimar, but I think it is under new management and eating is really off the hill. the naanbrot was very greasy and pilaureis looked out and tasted like the kind she gets in ready-made dishes. Chicken tikka masala was okay, but I wouldn't order from here.

Don't waste your money. Delivery not what they say on just eat. 1 hour late. Corma worst I've ever had. Nan breads worst I've ever had. Had to come back with rest of the order they forgot. Waste your money here at your peril

We ordered food for 9 people and I have to say the food was amazing service was amazing and deliveries always fast. I will never go to any other takeaway just shalimar

down this placed used to do really good food, but recently produced tasteless over oiled meals that are largely inexhaustible.
