This is a tidy neighborhood gem where you'll often see local residents. Located at the corner of Sutphin Blvd and 97th Ave, parking can be a bit challenging if you're driving. The food is consistently fresh and delicious. The owner and staff are all very friendly. I make a point to visit whenever I'm in the area. There are a few new smaller hotels nearby that I'm sure would appreciate this place.
The person who took my order was quite rude and didn’t allow me to request salt and pepper, which left the food lacking flavor. The fries were overcooked and greasy, as they hadn’t been drained properly. On the positive side, the chicken was delicious, the delivery was impressively fast, and the delivery person was very patient and kind.

This place has fallen off terribly they charge more and then they give you less. In fact, I ordered chicken lo mein and there’s no chicken in it and this is happened multiple times my partner doesn’t want me to make a big deal out of it but I’m definitely done with these people. Ordered take out while staying near the airport and man, it was so good! The price was super reasonable cash only but worth it! They even sent enough sauce! It was a win win!
I live closer to other Chinese restaurants but Shanghai is always the one I call on. Their food is always fresh and on point.
