I first discovered Shanghai dumplings during a visit to Shanghai itself, in the famous Chinese Gardens. This was the beginning of my love affair with the king of all dumplings, those lovely little packets of deliciousness; those lovely mouthfuls of scrumptiousness. And, here in suburban Ashfield is a small oasis of culinary nostalgia, part of the Chinese restaurant strip. In the restaurant window, as if a work of art in itself, the chef lovingly fashions these juicy gravy filled balls of pleasure.
