They've been a Facebook favourite of mine for a while now, and with working on the Metrolink network, this gem of a place is just a few minutes walk from the Shaw Crompton tram stop. I've tried to visit here on a few occasions but just never had the time to visit. Today however I had different plans, was with my gaffer who didn't know the place, asked him if he was hungry (I know he loves a pie), so that was that. I was starving at the thought of finally eating here and I went for the chunky steak pie, mash, peas and gravy. What can I say, total comfort food at its finest. The pie was packed with meat, coupled with a lovely rich gravy and a very satisfying sound when my fork cracked the top...
Driven past loads of times, decided to take the plunge, and you know what? Absolutely superb, mash, perfect, pies, the best I’ve had, wife likes her cheese and onion, she said best ever, my steak was superb, my only critic is, there is a counter, we’re you line up to be served, along the counter is arranged several cakes, looking very inviting, but not after many have breathed all over them! Cover them up please, and you might just serve me desert as well, your worthy of an establishment on deansgate, Shaw is lucky to have you, cover the cakes, and you would rightfully earn 5 stars,
Yesterday, my husband and I bought two pies from this restaurant. I have always wanted to have a full meal here. I chose the meat and potato pie, which I enjoyed. My husband had the cheese and onion pie, however, he found it to have too much pastry and indicated a preference for Holland's pies. Regardless, I enjoyed my meal and will definitely be returning in the future.
Visited and was met by very friendly staff who offered a wide range of homemade pies with choices of mash and other extras. The pie was delicious and the mustard mash was superb. I finished off with a cappuccino and slice of the best homemade carrot cake I have ever tasted!! Fully recommend this place the food and staff are exemplary.. Lovely!! Reserva una mesa ahora
We have been frequenting this restaurant for a long time. The food is consistently amazing, especially the variety of pies that they offer. Paired with creamy mashed potatoes, vegetables, and gravy, it's unbeatable! The desserts are also exceptional, with a selection of treats to satisfy your cravings. What more could you ask for?
My god I went here yesterday for lunch and I can only say that this place is excellent. The pies are all home made as is all the food I think? You can eat in or take away and there’s parking off road just outside. I really recommend this place and I don’t think you will be disappointed
