I haven't been to this restaurant in about 15 years, and I'm thrilled to say it's just as fantastic as I remember. The atmosphere, food, and service are all outstanding! It definitely deserves five stars across the board. The corned beef and cabbage is prepared perfectly and is my favorite dish. The Shepherd's Pie is also exceptional. They offer a great selection of Irish beers on tap. If you're seeking an authentic taste of Ireland in an atmosphere reminiscent of the Emerald Isle, this is the place for you!
The green and golden facade of Shawn O'Donnell's warmly welcomes you as you approach. Upon entering, you're enveloped in a delightful atmosphere filled with the enticing aromas of delicious food and drinks. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, enhancing the experience from the very start. With each sip and bite, you can tell you're in for a treat. The food—especially the carved beef and Guinness stew—is outstanding. You can't go wrong with a visit to Shawn O'Donnell's!
We enjoyed a delightful lunch that included complimentary Irish soda bread. The fish and chips, as well as the bangers and mash with colcannon, were fantastic. My wife particularly loved the corned beef mac and cheese. I highly recommend this restaurant. Additionally, the staff was very friendly and welcoming, making it a wonderfully comfortable place to dine.
The atmosphere is great, and the poutine is excellent. The cheese curds are among the best I've had at a restaurant. They offer unique beer selections on tap. The mac and cheese with pulled pork and red sauce was quite tasty. Overall, it's a bit pricier than similar restaurants in the area, but the quality makes it worth it.
