Shaws Fish Chips

I visited Shaw's for the first time since it was taken over, the server was pleasant but the atmosphere in general was quiet compared previous, the batter on the fish was lovely, very crisp and light however the chips were very dry and had a strange after taste to them so I couldn't finish them. I liked the original Shaws, as I can struggle with some oil blends and I never had any issues following these, as they used their own family recipe blend oil, however I now need to find a new chippy

Enjoyed my fish n chips last night.. portion was plentiful.. I ordered fish n chips, a fish cake (for the dog), a bag of scraps and a can of pop all for just over a tenner.. good value in this day and age Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Large fish and chips and curry sauce. Not keen on the curry sauce. Lovely large fish, shame the batter was soggy inside Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £10–20 Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4
