I never write reviews but I felt this was warranted after the shock of opening my to-go bag. I spent $36 on two to-go meals and barely received any food. The beef meal pictured below was 18$ and there were only a few tiny pieces of meat (as you can see). Iordered a rainbow sushi roll for $15, and that is not what I got either. I basically receive a huge log of rice with tiniestbits of what looks like some mayonnaise-y crab mix in the center (which is not at all what a rainbow roll is). You can see belowhow much rice there was. They did not pack any utensils, and there was also no soy sauce so I had to eat this by hand, withoutsoy sauce, and eventually just threw it out because it was not a r...

I came to Shiki for my birthday dinner, and it was an incredible experience. The food was authentic, delicious, and beautifully presented. Their dinner menu features a variety of small plates perfect for sharing and sampling many different flavors. One standout was the raw octopus with fresh real wasabi, which offered a sweeter, milder taste compared to the typical green horseradish wasabi paste. We also enjoyed the flight, which pleasantly included a piece of salmon sashimi and octopus as a palate cleanser. Overall, dining at Shiki was a wonderful experience, and I can't wait to return.
To make matters worse, Shiki didn’t provide any utensils or soy sauce, so I had to eat the dish with my hands and without any seasoning. In the end, I threw it away because it wasn’t even a proper rainbow roll—I realized I had barely eaten anything but rice. I’m shocked at how much they charged me for this. I rarely send food back, but if I hadn’t been so far from Shiki when I noticed the problem, I would have gone back to ask for more food, request a remake, or at least demand a refund. The experience left me very disappointed with their menu.
4.5 stars The atmosphere was nice, it's a small cozy restaurant with a calming jazzy music background. The atmosphere kinda makes the eating experience feels like fine dining. The service was impeccable, they forgot my miso at first but they quicklyserved it to me once I asked them. The food was okay, the miso soup and udon are really nice since I eat them while it's coldand rainy outside. I think it's a bit overpriced tho, especially for such small bites (the food in the photo is $25). Reserva una mesa ahora
4.5 stars Shiki has a warm, intimate atmosphere with gentle jazzy music that creates a refined dining experience. The service was excellent; although they initially overlooked my order, they promptly corrected it when I mentioned it. The food was good—especially the soup and udon, which were perfect on a cold, rainy day. However, I found the prices a bit high, particularly given the small portion sizes (the dish shown in the photo cost $25).
Overall, the food was excellent, particularly the very fresh seafood. I tried the matsu platter, which offered a delightful variety of dishes. I highly recommend these sets as they allow you to experience a range of flavors. The dinner menu also looked incredible, with even more choices available; I will definitely have to return for dinner sometime!
"The presentation was outstanding—definitely a 5-star experience. However, the food itself only deserves 2 stars. We ordered two lunch bento boxes, and while the noodle soup and salad were just average, the custard was quite tasty. Unfortunately, the sashimi portions were very small."
Nothing too fancy but good taste and really nice price suits for people like me want to try everything but only has a tiny stomach! I love the restaurant environment really chill. Owner and server was very friendly. That meal made my day I finished everything and really full! Reserva una mesa ahora
