Shiki Bistro San Carlos offers a fantastic happy hour with a great variety of options. The sushi is exceptionally fresh, and their service appears to be getting better. They had a wonderful band playing in the bar, creating the perfect ambiance—lively enough to enjoy but not so loud that you had to raise your voice to talk. The menu at Shiki Bistro San Carlos is thoughtfully curated, making it a great choice for a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience.
Sorry it's not the same Shiki. Use to go to Shiki twice a mo. since 2003. Service got awful over last few years. Number of times items would be missing from a pickup order. When called the best they would offer is for me to go back and pick it up. Noapology, no refund, no compensation of any kind! Last time I asked to speak with a manager. Kid on a phone told me that manageris buzzy and would call me back. Of cause he didn't!
We visit Shiki Bistro San Carlos at least once a month. The menu offers a wide variety of choices, and we have never had any issues with the quality of the dishes or the raw fish. There is usually seating available, and the service is consistently excellent. Overall, Shiki Bistro San Carlos is a fantastic last-minute dining option in the lively San Carlos/Redwood City area.
Shiki Bistro San Carlos has clearly been working on enhancing their service, and it shows. The friendly waitstaff were incredibly kind and attentive. Very rude customer service. Did not get help for 15min, the bar lady ignored me the whole time. I was told to go to the bar to pick up my order by the same lady, then proceed to stop me and telling me i should not have done that. Gave me a hand gestureand very condescending.
Shiki provided excellent service, which really stood out. The friendly and smiling staff were very kind and helpful. The sushi and ramen are consistently delicious, and the vegetable and shrimp tempura is light and crispy. Absolutely delicious!
Great happy hour and great options. Sushi is very fresh and its service seems to improve. You had a good band playing in the bar that only enjoy the right sound level, but do not make you need to raise your voice to talk to your table.
