A friend and I had lunch at this restaurant today, and it was one of the most enjoyable dining experiences I've ever had. Our server was excellent and helped us select our meals. She was perfect in every way. The food was incredibly delicious, and I truly savored every bite. The owner also came out to greet us; he was a warm and friendly man. He offered us some samples and spent time talking with us. Overall, the experience was fantastic, and we can't wait to come back. We both tried the Hiroshima dish, and you definitely have to try the iced tea!
There 's an entry on the menu called the chef 's special. When I asked the server what it was, she said, whatever Shima gives you. I knew, from that moment, I loved this place. lol. Seriously, though, I love how unapologetic the menu is. I love the atmosphere. I love the menu. I LOVE the food.I get to travel all over WV with national trips throughout the year and this is, by far, one of the best places I 've had.
The Hiroshima plate is the best teriyaki dish that I’ve had in years. The deep fried crunchy rice brings a nice punch of texture. The flavors are heavenly. The portion is very generous.The prices are extremely reasonable, to the point where they could double their prices and still be a great value.The staff was full of smiles and my cup was never empty.I can’t wait to swing by here again. Great place!
I walked in not knowing what this place would be like but let me tell you, this place has got character! I really enjoyed the chicken teriyaki, it's like the perfect mixture of a salty and sweet chicken, and the rice was perfect too. Definitely will be revisiting in the future!Parking: In front of the shop and near the shop, lots of shops nearby so the parking can get a little tight.

Only our second time visiting Shima's, and it is quickly becoming a favorite...great food, served piping hot, the eggrolls are amazing, and the Hiroshima is unique and so tasty!...friendly service, just a great all-around dining experience!Food: 5/5
Shima is an amazing individual, and the food is truly outstanding. However, I would have preferred if the waitress had worn more clothing, considering it's a family restaurant. Overall, I would give the food a perfect 5 out of 5.
Open tables are quickly filled.There is usually little to no wait.Menu is clear and precise.Establishment is clean top to bottom and front to back.Quality food, comfortable atmosphere and impeccable service.
