After thorough research, I decided on Shin-Sen-Gumi, and it truly exceeded my expectations. The ramen was incredibly flavorful and came with a wide variety of customizable toppings to suit any taste. The pork slices and pork dumplings I tried were exceptional. We also sampled two different flavor balls from the menu, both of which were amazing and added an extra dimension to the ramen.
A unique touch at the restaurant is the bells at each table, allowing you to easily call the staff—a feature I hadn’t encountered before! First time having ramen the other day have nothing to compare it to. It was amazing. Feeling spontaneous and friends raved about this place so I said why not. I took it 'to go ' did not dine-in because it was really busy but I ordered my food and they got it done quickly. So friendly when I received my food. Will try to come dine In and get the full experience of this restaurant. Ramen was great, I also got some spring rolls. And something that looks like pot stickers but they were really good definitely will be coming back to try other items and maybe their sake. 10/10
The service at Shin-sen-gumi Shabu-shabu was exceptionally warm and inviting from the moment we arrived. The staff greeted us warmly and were attentive throughout our meal, promptly serving our dishes. We enjoyed the eel over rice and Hakata ramen, which featured a rich broth and a generous amount of oil—both were absolutely delicious. We also couldn't resist adding an egg and pork belly to the ramen, which made it even better. The misubi was a pleasant surprise as well. Overall, it’s a fantastic spot that I would gladly visit again.
All we can say is WOW. Traditional Japanese greetings upon entering leaving. Incredibly attentive staff, well informed on menu the processes for the items. Eileen was an amazing server. Food hit the spot really shined, fresh quality ingredients, soup is a wonderful medley where you can truly taste each component without any one item overshadowing. Perfect birthday breakfast and we'll certainly be back during this trip.

I would recommend this restaurant for some delicious ramen. It's not extraordinary, which is why I gave it four stars, but the service is excellent and there are plenty of options to choose from. My personal favorite was the pork cutlet. I suggest signing up for the Yelp waitlist in advance, as the wait can be quite long, and they sometimes close the list early if it gets too busy before closing time.
Although we don?t visit often enough. The consistency and customer service has improved recently. Kudo to the servers, it is definitely our go to Shabu Shabu spot. You can expect high quality of food and services here.
I enjoyed an incredibly tasty bowl of Hakata Ramen! If you’re a fan of intense heat, be sure to try their Diablo sauce made with Carolina Reaper—it’s seriously fiery! Their bite-sized Gyoza are also delicious!
VEGAN+VEGETARIANS They have a vegetarian menu! I got the vegetarian Ramen and the Veggie Gyoza. Both were amazing!!! The Veggie Gyoza was the best I’ve ever had.

The restaurant is quite small, and unfortunately, we were seated next to a table of four loud customers. This made the experience less enjoyable for us.
The experience was excellent. It felt like being in a welcoming home.
