Shinbashi Yakiniku

Just returned from Tokyo and yakiniku is one of my favourite Japanese food. Thought I will not be able to have the same quality, if not better, in Australia. Went with a friend on weekday when the restaurant was not too busy. We ordered the premium set meal for 2 that costs $99. Since both of us are meat-lover, the set is just enough and we ordered 0x-tonge as extra. The meat quality is very good, fresh and tender. If they can improve on the table service it would be good. As it was not that busy on the night, the waiting staff were busy either packing up or with something else, not very attentive to customers. Also if they can work on providing more choices on sauces that helps. I personally not a buffet lover so I chose to have a-la-carte and expect service and choices can be better.

We ordered the set meal that is supposed to come with oysters but because they ran out of them, they replace them without even consulting with customers first with cheap alternative like fried fish and yet still charging us the same price with the one that came with oyster, after we complained to them, the waiter is very rude and did not even apologized and instead insisted on that they are right, NEVER AGAIN!! Also their BBQ buffet is a scam as well, you ordered something expensive but they didn't send them to your table straight away, instead they would send you the cheap stuff first to fill you up first, not very honest and not friendly at all.

We love this restaurant and eat here all the time with friends and family. High quality food, fantastic service and a great atmosphere - we have been here 20 - 30 times and never had a bad experience. The menu is superb, offering plenty of choice for even the fussiest eater. The staff are the best, very friendly and fast service. I celebrated my birthday here this year with 15 other guests, Shinbashi had no problem catering to such a large group and everyone had a great time. This is my favourite restaurant in Brisbane. I highly recommend dining here!

Based on the south side of Brisbane, this Japanese BBQ restaurant is a real delight, especially on certain evenings they have 'All you can eat' for a fixed price. This is a great way to experience the many items they have on the menu, most of which you will cook yourself on your BBQ coals at your table. It is a lot of fun; tastes great; and very helpful staff. Thoroughly recommend!

This place is an awesome place for Japanese food... I love coming here for quality meat - come on weekends for that experience! Yes it does get busy but make sure you make a booking to get a place....
