Shonet's Country Café

First time here. It was recommended by 2 people from the area. The first thing right off the bat was our waitress. She was great. They were crazy busy, but she made sure I didn't feel rushed when deciding on my meal. I ordered the soup and salad bar, and my husband ordered the chicken fried steak with fried potatoes and mac cheese. He loved his meal. All of it. He said that was the best potatoes and meal he has had at a restaurant in a long time. We live an hour and a half away, but he wants to go back and said he would order the same thing but with double the potatoes. We were very happy with everything and the prices are good. This is a definite place to go to if you are in that area.

Tried this lovely little spot for the first time today. I wasn't having a great day and I needed some good Appalachian comfort food, and these guys definitely delivered. The atmosphere is so warm, and the food reminded me of a little mom and pop cafe from my hometown. It really made my day, plus their pie is amazing Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
