Dirty cockroach seen as we were eating the hostess acted as it was a inconvenience and the waitress was too busy doing everything else but taking care of the customers I would never go back that's sad I was excited cuz I had not been to a shoney's in long time . It certainly was not the experience I was hoping for and now I've just lost hope and will never go back to a shoney's especially this one. I hope the owner and manager see this and take it seriously it's not just sour grapes it's a disgusting place with poor service in less than average food salad bar was a mess. I have been to this Shoney's Restaurant several times and I must say that I really love the food on the buffet especially the fried chicken. My only complaint is that this Shoney's needs to have longer restaurant hours especially for the locals and for those that are traveling on Interstate 75 that want to stop by to eat a delicious meal. Store was very clean, staff was friendly and hardworking, server was on top of our table for any needs and very polite and the food was AMAZING! What stood out the most was how not only were the employees busy and working hard but the manager was walking the floor making sure all was well with the store, food and individual customers. Waitress was good. Food was barely edible. Worst part there were 3 to 5 of the staff were sitting on the bench by the door playing on there phones and doing absolutely no work. There were floors that needed sweeping and the bathrooms needed attention. My shoes stuck to the floor. The only staff that seemed to care were the two oldest employees. Sadly, it looks like this Shoneys is about to join all the ones we knew and loved. There were more employees than customers, but the food was as good as we remembered. Great service! We stopped in for the onion rings. Not the same as years ago but still very good! Also, my husband gobbled up some strawberry pie before I could get a picture of it. I couldn't stop him!
