traveler’s rest location : have they eaten several times in this wonderful local restaurant, and eating is amazingly good! I would not have asked for better service, enough parking close to, beautiful atmosphere. their burgers are wonderful with even a gluten-free option. simpsonville location : great restaurant! we stopped from shortfield on the way down from a lazy Sunday in the mountains. the small restaurant is located in the heart of the travelers rest and directly next to the swamp rabbit trail and has an outside terrace and a large bar. we sat fast (although we arrived a little later than traditional lunchtime) and welcomed immediately. the service took a little nasen dive from there. we never got a straw for one of our drinks, even after we show it on our server, and eating took a long time, despite the mostly empty restaurants. but eating is more than made for them! Don't stop. go on. after a vatertag brunch. my wife said it was the worst eating of all time. I agree that our breakfast was literally cold as if 20 minutes on the counter were left out. eier were also overhauled. but again cold. cold eggs, cold hatch-brown, cold pancakes, cold French toast. we live in tr and there is no decent breakfast in the city we found and on Sunday everything is closed, so we gave Sh.fields a shot. never again. but her one saving gnade: **** mary was excellent! otoh waffel house has never disappointed.

terrible experience and bad eating. the food was cold and also the steak of my fish and wife were both overcooked, I guess they overcooked the food and let it sit for a while before it served. Waiting time was incredible as it took 15min to be recognized, then 30 min for salat and brot, another 45 min for entree. I asked for dessert when escaped came out, but still this took another 30 minutes. do not go into this restaurant! many better possibilities in travelers rest or greenville.

shortfield’s is our Go-To restaurant as a native. we love it and were always happy with eating and service. the Cuban sandwich and the gosset burger are excellent choices. also best wings in the city and large beer selection. you can also not beat the terrace fantastic. and comfortable it is next to the swamp rabbit brewery, so they can go their food and eat in the brewery!

our group stayed here after a long hike through the caesars head to refuel and we will add it to our list of places to go back. they have outside seats, which dogs are friendly and very well shaded for these hot days. the staff was all super friendly and helpful and the food was so delicious!

I have been here several times and have never been disappointed. Food has good taste presented well. The best thing is service everyone there seams to love their job and that is very important to me. Owners should be proud of their staff

I have been a few times and good is has always been good. The pork chop is huge! Very juicy and flavorful. The mashed potaotes are really good too. Can tell they are homemade.
