I had a bit of free time after work, so I decided to stop by while walking past. The cocktail preparation by the staff was excellent, and the lamb croquettes were a fantastic 5-star snack to tide me over. The only reason I didn't give a full 5 stars is that, based on just the two cocktails and one tapas dish I tried, I felt it wasn't quite justified. However, the place certainly has the potential to reach that level based on my brief experience there.

Shorties has raised the bar in downtown Lane Cove. With a seasoned team running the small bar, locals can finally relax and enjoy the ambiance. Whether you're stopping by for a drink and a snack or planning to settle in a booth for a meal, there's something for everyone. The venue boasts the classic small bar vibes—dim lighting, exposed brick, and creatively named cocktails that seem to have been inspired by a few too many tastings.

Wow! Incredible food I’m so glad we found this local gem! The short ribs and gnocchi literally melt in your mouth. The cocktails were also amazing. We will definitely be returning over and over again! EDIT 2nd visit we returned for the Sunday Roast (we just returned from living in the UK so it was a must to try! and it was perfect! Including the Yorkshire puddings (which we call yorkies . We took our friends and they loved it too.

Fantastic staff who make it feel super homely, warm and welcoming we have made a weekly date night routine just to visit this little gem. The cocktails are delectable, well balanced yet tease the senses. It's rare to find a bar that puts as much ingenuity in their food menu as they do in their drinks this place does! And as a bonus, they have delicious vegan/vegetarian options on the menu! Highly recommend!!!!!

ALWAYS a great night when we go to Shorties! The staff are always friendly and helpful and the food never ever disappoints. I love that there is something on the menu for everyone. We go often with a group of us, one of us is gluten intolerant and she never has any problems eating there.

Love this bar! Service was great from the moment we arrived to when we eventually left… Even the rain couldn’t dampen the mood! Great margaritas, delicious food and love the wine menu…. Can’t go wrong!

Fantastic food wonderful Service. The guys on deck on Tuesday night were very attentive and we really enjoyed our appetizers, mains and dessert! Drinks were on point and we can't wait to visit again!

The atmosphere and decor were outstanding. The staff were friendly and provided quick service. The lamb croquettes stood out as the highlight of the meal. I look forward to returning again and again.

Spent Valentine’s Day with my beautiful wife of 18 years there. $65 each for 3 exceptional courses was just brilliant! Great food and service with a smile.

Very good range of food here from a variety of continents, we had the banquet which all dishes were very good with a great wine list to match
