Shorty's Place - Reserva de mesa

Last week we went to Shorty's for the last time. We have stopped by several times over the last few years, usually for breakfast, and the food was never good; indeed, one chicken salad made us sick, but after our last experience despite the fact that it is practically on the highway--which is the reason why we were going there when traveling, nothing justifies suffering through their food and (lack of) service. Shorty's has a crowd of regulars who feel at home there, which is great, but when we're home we cook any and everything better! It might be that I just have high standards from other diners that I've been to but I can't say that this place was all that great. They're competing with cracker barrel across the street so you'd think that they'd put a little bit more effort into their business but it doesn't seem like that's the case. Two of our orders came out wrong and so they had to be sent back to be fixed and our coffee cups came with stains on them from the previous drinker who was drinking coffee. Literal lip prints on the cups. The people here were very nice however and that was a pleasure but I can't say that the food was anything exceptionally good And I can't say that the place was necessarily clean.

Shorty's Place is a great little diner with wonderful vintage flare. Friendly staff were able to easily accommodate our large walk-in party (fortunately it was a weekday). The food was great and reasonably priced and it's conveniently located by I-81 exit. A definite gem!

The atmosphere at this restaurant is lovely, giving off a true 1950s diner vibe. The service was excellent, as was the food. Despite the bustling crowd, we were promptly seated and served our meals in just 15 minutes. Reserva una mesa ahora

I am a truck driver from Philadelphia making a delivery to Home Depot. I stopped at this restaurant and found the food to be delicious and the staff to be very friendly.

Despite a fairly long wait, the staff was courteous. Cool old diner decor with tabletop jukeboxes made for a fun atmosphere. The food was decent.

I absolutely loved the coleslaw! The clam stripes were good. Hubby gotten the Reuben and he really liked it. Will go back, for sure!

Very cool retro interior. Lots of cool details. The salad had plenty of chicken and toppings, not just lettuce. Super nice place. Reserva una mesa ahora

I highly recommend this fantastic local restaurant. Make sure to arrive early as seating is limited!

We stop to and from the Adirondacks every year. Great place to eat.
