I recently dined at this restaurant for lunch and had a mixed experience. The food was decent but did not stand out; I would rate it a 3 out of 5. The service was a letdown, receiving a 2 for being slow and somewhat inattentive. As for the atmosphere, it was average, earning a 3. Overall, while it wasn't a terrible experience, there are definitely areas that could use improvement.
The sushi here is excellent, and the service is friendly and welcoming. My family always feels at home when we dine here. Our favorite dishes include the poke bowl, baby octopus, salmon teriyaki teishoku, grilled mackerel, shrimp, and vegetable tempura. We also really enjoy most of the nigiri and rolls. The kids particularly love the Japanese ramune sodas.
I ordered takeout of Black Cod, and when I opened it at home, I was disappointed by how unappetizing it looked. There were just two small pieces of overcooked fish accompanied by some unrecognizable pickled vegetables. The fish also had an unpleasant smell, and I was left with a bad taste in my mouth for hours afterward. Food rating: 1/5.
I would absolutely make this restaurant my home if I could! The quality of the food is exceptional, and the service is outstanding! It’s a charming little place for both lunch and dinner. If I didn’t live in Florida, I would definitely be a regular here! Food: 5/5.

The food at this restaurant is incredible, but given the prices, I would expect chopsticks to be provided. It might be a good idea to mention this in your order to prevent any misunderstandings.
This is my favorite casual sushi spot! The service is fantastic, and the sushi is consistently very fresh. The Good Call roll is simply the best! Food: 5, Service: 5, Atmosphere: 4.
I had a great experience with the California Roll and the Shrimp Tempura Roll at this restaurant. However, I found the Kani Salad to be bland, which is why I rated it 4 stars.

We had a wonderful experience at Shoshaku Sushi for two! The sushi and sashimi were exceptionally fresh and had a unique twist.
