A warm welcome from customers already sitting who could see that we weren’t sure what the etiquette was regarding getting a seat. We were then told, by a very busy staff member, to select a table and order at the bar which was great as we had time to peruse the very detailed menu; so many delicious options. Once ordered, food was beautifully presented. The chips were perfectly cooked, not limp and greasy and the burgers were very tasty. There is absolutely no rush to eat up and leave and this place has the feeling of a local wee pub/ restaurant as there is no pressure from staff hovering over you but they asked if everything was okay which I took to mean they would have welcomed feedback had...
We were served by Kieran..he's a lovely young man.Very helpful,good at his job.Good sense of humour. It was a bit quiet at Lunch time when we visited..but that meant we didn't have long to wait for our meals, so we were on a winner there. The food was lovely..well presented. We all ate up Will defo go again,next time we visit Darlington. Thanks Kieran.
We go a lot to Shuttle and Loom and it's consistently good. Food and service excellent. Great value also. Served by Jake and John who go the extra mile to look after us and it almost feels like we are in our own home. From the outside , it looks a little rough and ready, but don't judge a book by its cover. Give it a try.
My self and partner went to the shuttle and loom in darlington for a meal. It's been the first time that we have eaten in there in many years. My partner had a burger and I had the steak. The steak I had was cooked by Morgan and it has been the best steak that I've had in a long time. Will definitely go back there again.

Best local anyone could ask for. Food is absolutely divine. FOH go the extra mile and make you feel more than welcome the atmosphere is next level compared to majority of places. It's always good to see people enjoying the karaoke. Then you have the managers/boss who are very helpful. 5* rating from me
This pub used to be nice but the landlady was very rude the food is basic it used to be a busy family oriented pub but it was empty I think a lot of the regulars have been driven away by this landlady and her rudeness avoid if you can
Lovely pub, nice and quiet; food is delicious. The steaks are divine and the primary reason I come here over anywhere else! The chips are also top notch, and the crispy chicken strips great
Go here once a week. Food is really good with special offers all weekdays. Will recommend it.
