Si Tapas Lounge

Having a few days in Roses we tried this Tapas Bar on the waterfront. It was one of my most unhappy dining experiences. The staff were unpleasant unhelpful and at time aggressive. They arrived with the food at our table and were unpleasant when we told them the order was incorrect (two plates had not been ordered by us) Then another waitress arrived with the same order (not the one who had taken our order) and aggressively told us that this was what we had ordered- we stood our ground and (without us reordering) they eventually arrived with the correct order. When we asked for bread we were again treated with rudeness, but the bread did arrive. (They then charged us twice for the bread on the final bill) At the end of the meal my wife went to the toilet to discover that there was neither toilet paper or paper hand towels there. when she reported this to the staff there was more rudeness and aggression- no apology whatsoever. The food quality was never bad and some of the dishes were good but the unpleasantness of the waiting staff overshadowed the entire evening. Not recommended.

It was our first visit to Roses, and ideally we wanted to have tapas. Found this restaurant with a lovely sea view. It was an ideal setting with outside seating. There were a lot of different tapas on offer, but we chose a great menu with a selection of tapas as a starter and a seafood paella for main. We followed that with a tasty crème Catalane. The portions were generous, and it was very good value. They had a good wine list of local Spanish and local French wines. Lots to choose from. Will go again.

Great bar, great tapas and the best sangria in Roses. I wanted to give a well deserved excellent review for Si-Tapas which I have but this TripAdvisor advisor website wouldn't let me post anything under 100 characters so now I'm just writing for the sake of it and to add that the TripAdvisor website is pretty rubbish and only gets a 1 star award from me!

Detuvo en Roses en el camino de regreso a Francia y llamó a si Tapas, tuvimos muy buen servicio de tapas finas y una vista de las playas. Suficiente comida y bebida para ayudarnos en el viaje de regreso de la tarde a Francia. Volveremos la próxima vez que visitemos el norte de España.

We had four different kinds of tapas at this resturant: bread with tomatos, potatotos, carppacio and the calamari. The food was perfectly cooked and especially the the calamaries were perfect were fresh! We recomend this place og will be going back our selfs!
