I cannot believe after going here for about 7/8 years that I have to say - I WILL NEVER RETURN. Went with a group of 5 people last Sunday night - the waitress we happened to get is unfortunately one of the rudest waitressess - can't even smile or be nice - which is a shame. So we all sit down - drinks take forever, water takes forever, she takes our order and another 4 or so tables come in and they all get their food b4 we do....finally the waitress brings out entrees, one of them we explain to her we didn't order, she just looks at us blankly and says nothing - so whatever we accept it. Then main meals come out - I specifically asked for my red curry to have no tofu and that I would like it...
I had been told by friends to try this restaurant so instead f my usual beautiful place, i gave it a go. Unfortunately the food was unimpressive and and disappointing. I tried the massaman beef curry, coconut rice and thai spring rolls. Although the beef was tender it was mostly fatty and unplesantly tastngi. the spring rolls were had and unappealing(4 small ones for $9)
Our family (2 adults and 2 children) visited recently for a birthday. We had a delicious meal as usual. The food is flavoursome and there are some exciting less common dishes in the menu. We always feel like we've escaped to Thailand (well, almost!)
As we were visiting Cairns again (this time with 3 of our 4 adult children) we thought Siam Orchid Spicy was a great place to visit for a meal on our last night. 2 of our children had never had Thai before

Terrible customer service. The main waiter had no personality, really short and abrupt. My meal was very bland, no flavour or sauce (very dry). I would not recommend this Thai restaurant.
I have been here a couple of times and I found the food amazing and consistent on both occasions. Its reasonably priced and BYO. Really great atmosphere, couldn't recommend enough.
Dinner was amazing. Open from 4 is a big plus for eating straight after work. Dishes are well priced and presented so well. We had the duck #30 and it was fantastic.
Dine in or take away, the food is great. Authentic flavours and good service. The restaurant is cute and can do small groups
