Let me summarize this fantastic restaurant with a few key points. 1. Great dining experience; the interior is elegant, clean, and has good feng shui. It's very pleasant to sit inside. 2. Reasonable prices; we had two main dishes, an appetizer, Thai teas, dessert, and it only cost $62. If you opt for a simpler meal without dessert and appetizer, it will be around $40 for two people. 3. Delicious food; the coconut curry was creamy and delicious, the vegetables were a wonderful mix of bamboo shoots, baby corn, and other veggies. We felt like having some take outs so we ordered from this little Thai place through GrubHub. Cant say much about atmosphere or presentation in person but the food was delicious yellow curry was tasty, sizzling Thai ribs were so soft and flavorful meat was practically melting of the bone and into your mouth served with rice and Gulf of Siam seafood salad was refreshing, light and oh so spicy. This place is a hidden treasure. The food is excellent and fresh. I’ve never had a bad meal here and the service is phenomenal. It’s tucked away from all the trendy Carlsbad tourist magnets. My favorite thing to order is the sticky rice with mango and coconut ice cream! That alone can make a great meal! For the record, they make the coconut ice cream fresh!
This was the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Not only was the food amazing but the service was wonderful. All of the recipes are authentic and originate from the owner’s mom so there’s beautiful history there too. I love leaving a restaurant feeling like the money I spent was worth every cent and going to lovely people. We will absolutely be back!

We had a wonderful dining experience on Saturday night. Our server was extremely friendly and attentive. The food was outstanding, with a good selection of fresh vegetables and just the right amount of spice. The restaurant was surprisingly full, but it's definitely a hidden gem that we will be coming back to.
I love this place. Under the old ownership it was okay, but the new owners have really improved it. The staff is so friendly and the food is delicious. It’s also pretty reasonably priced for the area. I’d recommend the drunken noodles, the pineapple curry or any of the chef’s specials!
The food at this restaurant was incredibly tasty! The service was outstanding, with a very attentive waitress and fast food delivery. We ordered a variety of dishes including pad thai, pineapple fried rice, Thai fried rice, yellow curry, spicy noodles, fried tofu, and shrimp Tom kha.
I used to go here a lot when I lived in the area 20 years ago and it was called Lotus Thai and always made a point of having a meal when I visit the area. This was my first time here since they changed management and I'm happy to say that it's still as good as before.

Incredible value on this neiborhood Thai restaurant. True and authentic Thai cuisine at the right price, and the servings are very generous. I'd go to get a great family dinner. Servers were super friendly and the place was quiet and comfortable.
You gotta try the pineapple curry. The best I’ve ever had. Love this place, whenever I go down to San Diego i always come here. The best place in town imo
