Went in to have dinner with my in-laws that were visiting from out of town. We weren’t able to stay, the server was very rude and was mad because we asked to sit at a larger table since we would be sharing. When we walked in, she told us to sit anywhere. We sat at the table with the turning glass, to allow us to share. She then told us that the table was for 8 people. There were 6 of us and only two other tables were being used. The tables she was pointing to for us to sit were in direct sun light, it 106F outside. We asked if we could sit at the table for 8, she agreed. We sat down and she kept yelling at us from the other side of the servers station. She didn’t give us menus, we grabbed th...

A truly dreadful experience in every aspect. I’ll start with the only positive being our waitress who was training and tried her best despite her overbearing, scattered trainer interfering. The food itself was overpriced, bland and essentially all oil.Complicating matters was being served a bowl of oily undercooked tofu and then being told rice was extra unless we order the entree which is explained nowhere on the poorly organized menu. This is by far the worst Chinese food I’ve had the displeasure of eating and one of the worst dining experiences in Portland.

We went to Sichuan City after seeing it rated highly by Eater and a number of other best of lists. We weren’t disappointed.Nice menu combines authentic Sichuan dishes and creative takes on traditional Chinese American dishes like chow Mein.We had Sichuan beef which was great (and not that spicy), kung pao chicken which was great, and pork chow mein.Service is super fast, only thing to add is good to get your order in at the start because this place gets packed!

Rushed from work to get to this restaurant. Walked in at 9:03 pm and was denied service. I eat at this place a lot and know they close at 9:30 pm. I guess my business isn't valuable to them. On top of everything when I showed displeasure she offered for me to order to go. So the kitchen isn't closed but you still wouldn't take us. And there was at least 10 people still eating. If you want to close at 9pm just change your hours to 9pm.

Me wife and I love the food here. She is from China and I’ve spent a lot of time there and we were saying it’s hard to find this good of food in China. We always order the same 3 things: Sichuan Bean Jelly(伤心凉粉), Green Onion Lamb(葱爆羊)and Hot Boiling Fish Fillet(沸腾鱼). The service is quite pleasant as well. Not a big reviewer but thought this place deserves a shout out!

It was Szechuan cuisine, seemingly opened by Cantonese-speak folks. The decoration and dishes were all the best to experience with authentic Chinese food. Ordered Fish in hot pepper soup, eggplant salad (with jalapeno), and rice wine soup (where the rice ball with sesame paste was really good but the soup tasted only sugar sweet).

Our Chinese neighbor recommended this place and said the twice cooked pork is the best she has had outside of China. We are so glad she told us. We have been back a few times now, and everything we have tried is delicious. The twice cooked pork and the salted egg yolk shrimp are our favorites so far.

A great place to get delicious authentic Chinese food. The Shredded Pork In Being Bean Sauce is definitely our favorite (we usually end up ordering two).Parking: Same parking lot as WinCo Food.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant is on the ground floor and has handicap parking.

Not too spicy food, the dumplings were good, shrimp with egg yolk was good. Mapo tofu needs some spice.
