Reservations for a table of 8 made, was contacted via text by Concierge, who informed me full service only at table, we just need appetizers and drinks. Upscale Bachelorette party. It was told the bar would be best. Arrived got out of Limo told by hostess bar could not serve due to staffing. Wasted an extra 45 mins. The bar staff was like we would happily make you all drinks. Hostess was rude. Bought $100 bottle and walked out after 15 mins another waste of our time due to credit card machine issues. Complete disregard for our time and staff. Felt bad for staff/bartender they were not busy but claimed understaffed.
Sidebar was wonderful! The decor and ambiance were very lovely. The food was delicious and the service was good. However, the menu was quite limited which was a bit of a downside for my picky wife. It would be nice to see a more extensive menu in the future. The tacos were absolutely fantastic, the best I've ever had, and the lasagna was also excellent. The pork bellies were just okay.
The environment at this restaurant is truly amazing. You would never believe you were still in Edinburg with the ambiance and overall atmosphere. The restaurant is very stylish and clean, and the food is so delicious that it will definitely make you want to return. I highly recommend it!
The total experience was very good. There could have been a few more choices on the menu. The drinks are excellent, the staff was awesome, and the ambiance was great. We loved the old speak easy felling of it.

Sidebar is definitely a place to visit for date night or special occasions. We need more places like this in the RGV if your tired of going to same places give this place a try! Great atmosphere and drinks!
