Ate here after reading a review on TripAdvisor. Very limited menu, Set Menu 32.50 Euro with limited choice and extremely basic food, Mixed Salad was mixed but with only the usual, tomato, lettuce, bit of onion, bit of red pepper, a few olives, some tinned tuna and 1/2 a hard boiled egg. We ordered this because the main meat course comes with nothing other than a baked potato, no vegtables or garnish : For our main we had 1 Chuleta, which granted is large by weight, but....half the weight is the huge bone and lots of fat. We also had 1 Txitxarro Fish) which happened to be Mackerel on the night we ate here. The Chuleta was supposed to be cooked medium rare, but had to go back to the grill 3 times. The Mackerel was a whole medium sized one, perfectly cooked, nothing else on the plate : . I shared my rather small baked potato). I don't normally have dessert but at 32.50 each I thought I had better try something. I chose Arroz con Leche, probably the worst I have ever eaten in the 3 years we have had a house here. Far too sweet, very watery, at least 3 cm of cold milk on top of undercooked rice not even al dente) with so much cinnamon on top I had to scrape it off. My husband had Tarte Tatin from the special dessert board) He loves desserts but this was way too sweet, pureed apples on very soggy puff pastry, drizzled with condensed milk!!!! All in all a huge disapointment for 66.20 euros we had to pay for the Café Solo!!!!! You do get a basket of bread, a dish of olives and your drink of choice, but even so.......................Definitely wouldn't recommend this place. The other thing to mention is there are only 3 tables for couples or four people, the rest of the seating is on long tables with benches.
Came here with no reservation after a day on the slopes. After seeing the reviews on trip advisor it did not disappoint. The menu is excellent value for money! The staff are welcoming and the atmosphere is fun and lively. I recommend the tortilla followed by the steak! Great wine, great food, great restaurant!
