An exceptional dining experience! The service was outstanding, from the Maitre'd Kevin to our fantastic waiter (whose name escapes me), who was smooth, knowledgeable, and truly elevated our dinner! The food was delicious and expertly crafted; we relished every bite. Each small plate was extraordinary, with the standout dishes being the veal dumplings, foie gras torchon, sweetbread tortilla, and lobster turnover. Order as many of these as your appetite and budget allow—there are no disappointments here! The cold kohlrabi Vichyssoise may very well be the best cold soup I’ve ever tasted. Both the rabbit porchetta and the duck entrees were bursting with flavor and resembled edible works of art....
We chose to dine here because of its impressive 4.8 rating on Zagat, and it definitely lived up to the hype. The beer selection was quite impressive right from the start. Our server was not only helpful but also very pleasant. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed conversation. The appetizer menu was extensive, and we decided on the lobster turnovers and the mushroom agnolotti. The mushroom dish resembled ravioli and easily ranked among the top five appetizers I've ever had. For our entrees, one of us ordered the halibut while the other opted for the lobster-stuffed filet. Last night, we celebrated our 30th anniversary at Sidney Street, and they truly made us feel special for our occasion. The food was remarkable! We started with the four cheese appetizer, and for my main course, I had the wasabi filet, which was absolutely delicious and melted in my mouth. Cyndee Goebel Morgensen enjoyed a cauliflower veggie dish that she couldn't get enough of. For dessert, they treated us to a delightful ice cream white chocolate blondie. One of the finest culinary experiences in STL! Nestled near Benton park/ Soulard area a nondescript building from outside but as soon as you enter, the brick walls, the bar area and stand and can lighting will appeal sophistication. We had Westley as server and he was 5 star all the way. They have elaborate wine and liquor selection and they can even make some great mock tails on the fly. I had the pleasure of visiting Sidney Street Cafe during a work trip with six colleagues. We were seated at tables in the bar area, where Richard provided attentive service that truly enhanced our experience. He is an absolute gem! The wine, food, and cocktails were all exceptional. I ordered the halibut with a side of collard greens, and I enjoyed every last bite—nothing was left on my plate!
Wow! What an incredible experience! The lobster turnover was fantastic, the brisket was juicy and tender, and the rigatoni was perfectly al dente. The creamy creamed corn was absolutely delicious, and the mushroom toast left me speechless. A+ service—thank you, Mika! I can't wait to dine here again when I'm back in St. Louis.
??Delectable, Decadent, Delicious! ???? (D³ ?? This was probably one of the BEST meals I've ever had. Kudos to the chef, kitchen staff, owner, bartender... basically the entire staff/establishment. For those that have not tried this amazing spot in downtown STL, I very highly recommend! ???? ????
