We celebrated a big move with our two boys at Siena tonight. We were the only family at the restaurant and loved the whole experience. It felt like being in Italy. The staff was knowledgeable and super down to earth.The food was fantastic (beef carpaccio, pasta fagiole, house made fettuccine, fish and Milanese). It really tastes like proper home cooking. The small touches (fresh focaccia and beans to start, biscotti before dessert and limoncello on the house) left us feeling like dining back in Italy. We felt so welcome and comfortable. We’d love to come again on our next visit to the States.
I asked for an outside table on the reservation. I called around 18 o'clock in front of my 630 book and asked if we could sit outside, I said they could let this happen. When I arrived, the manager was rude and bluntly said, well we only have 5 tables. I let him know what the man said on the phone and he just stared at me empty. when I passed the restaurant an hour later, they had put some extra tables outside.
Excellent Italian cuisine. Outstanding attentive service, especially from the owners who are constantly overseeing the staff. Fresh pasta and the Branzino are noteworthy.
