This is the BEST spot in the Hartford area for a gourmet coffee and edible treat. My wife and I have been coming here at least once a week for nearly the last year, and every single time we've gone it's been an A+ experience. Great, friendly staff, a delicious assortment of freshly made pastries and snack items, and undeniably the best tasting coffee around. It's nice to see downtown Manchester experiencing a resurgence with cool, local business popping up let's hope this trend continues. Silk City Coffee can't be beat!! Oh, and they make the BEST granola EVER ;
I recently visited Silk City Coffee to watch Marmo perform, and I had an amazing time. The coffee was excellent, the crowd was lively, and the music was fantastic. This is the type of place that Manchester needs more of - it's charming, laid back, and friendly. It surpasses the coolness of the coffee shop in the TV show Friends. The baristas were quick and welcoming, serving up a piping hot coffee and a refreshing matcha ginger iced latte from their summer beverage lineup. I also love their cinnamon rolls. Silk City Coffee does a great job!
Since relocating from Chicago to Manchester, I have been longing for my regular coffee shop routine. Silk City has easily met that need, and at a reasonable price. Compared to the cafes I frequented in Chicago, Silk City is much more budget-friendly. The overall experience is pleasant, making it a great spot to plug in your headphones and be productive. Additionally, they usually offer gluten and dairy-free pastries for those with dietary restrictions.
Just left there had my first cup of coffee at Silk City Coffee, and it won't be my last. I can honestly say it's one of the best Cups Coffee I have ever had. The foam on top of the latte it was perfect consistency the espresso roast has a caramel subtlety and the fact that they use coconut milk was not overpowering or watery it was a beautiful blend of a wonderful flavor, watch out Starbucks you've got some major competition. The standout feature of this new Manchester hotspot is the exceptional staff. Not only do they serve the finest coffee, but they also provide top-notch service that makes you feel like royalty. The people here are fantastic, and the desserts are some of my favorites - especially the peanut butter brownie cookie, raspberry bars, and cookies. You won't be let down!
