Silver Moon Saloon

Silver Moon is a great dive bar, a kind of hidden gem! Some locals in Small Batch told us that we should look for Silver Moon, and we're grateful that they let us on the Intel. The bartender and EVERY customers were great for us. It's a small room so you finally interact with quite a lot of people, and we had a great time back and forth with the local crew. The same scenario on the back terrace that has some elbow space. A bunch of cool people, just sit around and talk about everything and nothing. Good times, very relaxed mood, although you may think that it is a little rough on the eyes. It's a great place, thanks to Silver Moon Crew, had a good time in your bar!

I’ve been sober for years, but if there’s anyone or any place that could tempt me to relapse, it would be James Douglas and Silver Moon. I’ve dropped by just to grab a cranberry juice, and I’ve always felt completely at ease. The bartenders and staff have been incredibly kind and supportive of my sobriety. However, if anyone could pull me back into the chaos of alcohol, it would be James Douglas with his charming words and his gentle yet persuasive approach. Silver Moon is more affordable than therapy and more alluring than AA.

"This might be a bit of a 'Missed Connection,' but I have this feeling I've encountered that bartender, 'James,' before. The other day, as I was driving through East Bend, I saw someone who looked remarkably like him—wearing just chaps and tube socks, riding a cow down the street with a cigarette dangling from his mouth. I also have a vague memory of seeing him at a brewery called Hoots, where he was being chased around by stray cats in the parking lot. Regardless, I have to say that the Silver Moon is quite a good place."

I really enjoy this bar, but I'm worried that James Douglas' belt might slip off since he insists on accepting his bartending tips with it. He outright refuses to take them by hand. Lives in Winston-Salem for about 4 months and that was just my favorite bar. Chris is an excellent bartender and the place has a very welcoming feeling. A bit small (so I think it is packed when busy), but they have a nice wrap outside porch.
