Wedding venue advice for those considering Simmer!!! I strongly recommend NOT booking this venue. If I had to sum up my experience with Simmer on the Bay it would be the three following statements: 1. Awful customer service 2. Poor value for money 3. Good quality food I hope this review is helpful for Bride’s who are on the hunt for the perfect venue and I hope it might make Simmer lift their game. Whilst they may run many functions every year they certainly do not treat every customer with respect. Unfortunately as soon as Simmer had my deposit the customer service I received was dreadful. Así que me dirigí al Festival de Sydney Writers, que ingenuo espera ir directamente a una reunión, por lo que no es el caso. El lugar era absolutamente con el ejército gris, para el día y listo para la cola. Golpeé un retiro prematuro para cocinar a fuego lento donde encontré una silla de cubierta y me senté y mi libro leyó durante unas horas de largo, ah la suerte. No hay mucho que decir sobre la tarifa de la cafetería: el café y el muffin eran la calidad de la tienda de escuelas (o quizás la injusta para las tiendas de tuck), por lo que definitivamente no hay un objetivo foodie. So I turned up to Sydney Writers' Festival naively expecting to walk straight into a session SO not the case. The place was absolutely thronging with the grey army, out for the day and ready to queue. I beat a hasty retreat to Simmer, where I found a deckchair and sat and read my book for a couple of hours, ah bliss. Not a lot to say about the cafe fare the coffee and muffin were school tuck shop quality (or maybe that's unfair to tuck shops) so definitely not a foodie destination. Maneja un almuerzo rápido en el Café de Simmer para el Festival de Escritores de Sydney. Tenían frittata diariamente y una selección de unos 4 sándwiches. Elegí el pollo con mayonesa de limón, pinales y grosellas. No esperaba mucho que sea honesto, en consideración de la multitud y la oportunidad, pero el sándwich era realmente decente. No cambia la vida, pero he disfrutado de la combinación de sabores, los pinnuts y las grosellas fueron un suplemento interesante.
Grabbed a quick lunch at Simmer Cafe for the Sydney Writers Festival. They had a daily frittata and a choice of about sandwiches. I chose the chicken with lemon mayo, pinenuts and currants. I didn't expect much from it to be honest, considering the crowds and occasion but the sandwich was actually decent. Not life changing but I enjoyed the combination of flavours, the pinenuts and currants were an interesting addition.
