I dined at Simons on June 29, 2023. My sister-friend took me out to celebrate a major event that happened in my life. I had never been to Simons before, and she raved about the food. When she asked me where I would like to go I said, Let's go to Simons. While we waited to be seated for 45 minutes, it was worth every minute of that wait. The wait was because every table was full of patrons, which says a lot about this restaurant. I had the Beef Stroganoff and my friend had the Lamb Chops. Both meals were exquisitely prepared with love because you could taste it. The customer service received from the wait staff was second to none. Wow. What an amazing place. We have just left and are so happy with our experience. We had never been before, so we didn’t realize what an incredible place it was. We had their baked feta for an appetizer and right away we knew we made a good choice even though there was a bit of a wait. Normally we don’t stick around for long waits, but we are glad we did this time. After that was salads and soup. My sausage soup was one of the best soups I’ve had. The salad was also refreshing and a good amount of dressing, not drowning. The main meal was shrimp scampi for me and stuffed chicken for my husband. We had to wait for a table, even on a Monday, but it was totally worth it! The food was fantastic. The chicken florentine was amazing and probably one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The meal finished with a free piece of cake! The owner also came out and talked to and thanked guests. I thought that was a really special touch that you don’t often see in restaurants. We can’t wait to go back!

Great food and outstanding service. Started with the mushroom dip with Crostini, baked artichoke dip and full order of onion rings. Then for mains mac n cheese add chicken, steak deburgo and Italian hoagie. Everything was seasoned really well and cooked perfect. 3rd time here and they get it right every single time. This place is one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Iowa. Never fails to serve the best steaks I’ve had. I always recommend this place to anyone. It’s crowded but it’s always worth it and all the servers are so friendly and happy to help anyone.

Always the best service!! Simon loves to treat his guest like family !! His cakes are so delicious!! Food there always is full of flavor and fresh! I mean even the house salad!! Simons is one of our favorites for sure!
