Simply Chinese Rock

We had take away. The lady taking our order was patient, polite and just a lovely person. The food on the other hand was vile. The Sweet and sour chicken was rock hard the plain noodles were literally stuck together and rubbery. The beef chow main was chewy and the prawn crackers were yellow and chewy. Clearly most of this was just warmed up in the microwave. The only thing that didn't end up in the bin were the vegetable spring rolls. Do not recommend then and we will never eat there again. The food was all old and reheated. Prawn crackers tasted like cardboard, were soft and yellow like from several days ago. Duck in black bean was so salty and dry like over roasted. The Thai curry beef was nothing Thai at all just a beef in a sweet chilli sauce. Egg fried rice tasted like packet rice not fried at all. Chow mein was meh with pork very chewy. Only decent thing was Singapore noodles. Wouldn't recommend and their food hygiene rating is 1 . Never again. Service: Take out Price per person: £10–20 Food: 2

The service at this Chinese restaurant is always friendly and fast. I wish they offered delivery service because it is my favorite Chinese spot in Dronfield. The atmosphere is great when dining in, and the food is always fresh and served in generous portions. I highly recommend trying the Chow Mein, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Egg Fried Rice, and Duck. Overall, I would give them a 5-star rating for both the food and service. The price per person is around £30-£40 for dinner.

This is by far the best Chinese in Dronfield and the surrounding area... I like to try different ones and this tops them. They don't deliver which is slight disappointment but we'll worth it. I visited Barlow, Derbyshire for a week from Lincoln and ordered takeout food within 30 minutes. The food was just as good, if not better, than my local Chinese restaurant in Lincolnshire. I was very impressed. Thank you. - Guy. Dinner. Price per person: £10-20. Food: 5. Service: 5.
