I had eaten at this restaurant over 10 years ago (I don't know if it is the same owners but it was a creperie then) and I always knew I wanted to return. I could not have been more disappointed, however, and would never eat here again. I love savory crepes and have eaten at many different creperies. Simply Crepes fell short is so many ways. The menu was very confusing with crepes listed under the salads as well as under the main dishes. Some crepe dishes seemed to be filled and some just had a folded empty crepe on the plate. Based on their website and recommendations from family, we went there late on a Sunday for dinner. My wife and I each ordered the breakfast crepes. What we received were essentially eggs, sausage and cheese wrapped in what seemed like a tortilla but was called a crepe. It was quite doughy, and not like crepes I have eaten in other restaurants. Take away the crepe, and it would have been a breakfast bowl at Cracker Barrel. We were very disappointed. My wife was looking forwarded to fresh maple syrup and fresh whipped cream, but got none of that. The potatoes on the side were better than the main course. Overall, it was not what we expected. We ordered through Uber Eats and the breakfast crepes were cold and all the whipped cream and ice cream was melted and became a soupy mess. Plus the crepes tasted too much like flour. I couldn’t even eat all of it which is rare for me not to gobble down sweat breakfast dishes.
