It feels like ages since I last contributed a review. We've welcomed a new member into our small family, and I find myself preferring to stay in and cook rather than miss out on cozy evenings on the sofa with him—who could resist that adorable face? We managed to escape on a Sunday and drove to Marlow, which is one of my favorite spots just outside London. It's incredibly picturesque, and along the river are charming homes that make me dream of owning a beautiful wooden boat to live on the water someday!
It's been quite some time since I've dined at an Atul Kochar restaurant. I was still in university back in 2008, and reflecting on it now makes me feel old. At that time, Benares, Atul's flagship restaurant in Mayfair, had just earned a Michelin star, following his tenure at Tamarind. Today, Atul's restaurant empire spans three continents, with locations in Dubai, Madrid, and India. He also operates restaurants on board cruise ships.
Absolutely top notch experience, we had the set 3 course menu, there were 4 of us and each starter, main course and desert were beautifully cooked and tasted amazing. Added to that we actually met and chatted to Atul who was charming and completely at ease with us, just added to the experience Can't recommend enough, many thanks to the whole team our experience was faultless
we are here on Sunday, with a voucher for the three cures. we booked months ago, this is a very popular place! we ate very good, delicious food and well presented. many waiters in the room, all very fast and efficient. Top class food. The best currys I have ever had. Decent portion sizes but when you've finished the 3 course meal you can still move and go for a walk. It was just the right amount of food. Lovely presentation. Staff are really nice and welcoming and the smell is amazing. Definitely would come back.
