only recently my men had 50th birthday party here, everyone had a fantastic night, I also had a buffet, the prices were very reasonable, we also got a disco included, bonus that dj was also brittle, got all on dance, we had a part of the pub reserved for our party. I highly recommend them if they think of having a party that calls them.

called in sir john cockle for dinner after a day with my son. the bar staff was really nice and we didn't have much to wait for our food. I had a chicken and specksalat, and my son had the steak and ale cake that we both enjoyed our meal. will definitely recommend friends family and will go back.

16 of us went here last night for our work night outside the workers are brill sorted all our meals fast and got really fast served, even tho it was busy would certainly recommend john velvet to anyone going in a big group for eating really pleasant evening

quality pub, friendly bar staff with excellent service, led by first-class renters who always make sure their time in pub is pleasant ..... rost pub and anyone who otherwise does not know sh*t!!!

Went for family Christmas meal about 35 of us the staff could not have been more helpful the food was piping hot even the kids enjoyed making snowmen out of the marshmallows they provided.
