Sivas Tavern - Reservar una mesa

It may tell you something that we had no trouble getting a table at 7:40 on a Friday night. In fact that was the first hint, because the place was over half empty, and yet they walked us past the nicer areas and sat us right next to another couple, near the kitchen and practically in the bar. They tried to seat another group right after us up against us on the other side, but they objected to being right IN the kitchen door, so they were moved to the other side of the couple next to us. Then another couple was given the kitchen a few minutes later. So, empty tables all over in nice dining areas, and four tables crammed together alongside the bar were stuffed full. I should have asked to move...

The City Tavern must still be new and suffering from either a predominantly late-night crowd or low notoriety. At 5:45pm o. Friday, my wife and I made total patronage at 6-7 people in the restaurant. We were seated right away, orders taken immediately, and visited often by our waiter. The food is standard bar-fare and tasty, but not fine dining (my mistake, not City Tavern as Tavern is right in the name... . I would recommend as a local hang-out for friends, finger foods/apps, and beer/wine.

Overall it was good. Service was great but it wasn't real busy even fro a Friday night. Our waitress was exceptionally good. She was very pleasant and very knowledgeable of the extensive menu. Great place for catching sports and have a local brew or two. The current owner is in the process of changing the name of the place, but I have high expectations. I fully recommend that you give them a try and watch their progress as you help them grow. CHEERS!

Music was too loud for dinner service. My meal was delicious but my date's entree (beef and lamb gyro) was barely edible. The meat was so tough she simply left it.

All four dinners were prepared well, no problems and food was very good. Our service was excellent and a good value in my opinion. I will return
