We loved our visit to the Six Mile Pub. As the oldest pub on Vancouver Island, it has an authentic atmosphere that other pubs try to replicate. British pub food is comfort food at its core, but when you combine that with a commitment to fresh. Local, sustainably sourced cuisine, you get something truly wonderful. We opened with the beetroot salad, which was a burst of fresh goodness, and also shared the bourbon and beer pierogies (which was a mistake we should have gotten two serves because they were amazing! . My wife had the artichoke and mushroom lasagna, which she enjoyed a lot, and I had the bangers and mash, which were top notch the high quality of the meet was evident. We would have l...

I recently had lunch at the Six Mile with 2 friends. We had not been there for years and thought we would try it. The last time that I was there the place was busy but not this time. We all ordered different dishes and we were all disappointed. I ordered the Applewood smoked BLT. Applewood bacon should be thick sliced and very flavourful. This bacon was not and I only got three small pieces in my sandwich. It was mostly lettuce and tomato. I had a ceasar salad with my meal and it was OK. My friend ordered the portabella mushroom pizza and it was horrible. She got a total of 3 slices of mushroom and the pizza was covered in a thin Alfredo sauce and a bunch of greens. When she went to pick up...

STAY FAR AWAY - Pretentious menu with outrageous prices accompanied by unrealistic wait time for food arrival. We are remodeling out kitchen so we are trying new restaurants nightly. The three of us had Shepard’s pie, Crab cakes and a chicken burger. The Shepard’s pie was a watery defrosted mess with only speckles of beef, the chicken breast burger seemed to have been missing part of the breast it was so petit but the Crab cake was good. Note that this was a pay day weekend and the pub should have been full but instead, and this was our first clue, was only 20 to 25 % occupied.

My husband and I ate and drank at the Six Mile Pub with my 89-year-old mother, sister, son, and daughter-in-law last week. It's larger inside than it looks from the street. We ate on the outside patio - the atmosphere was charming. The food was pretty good and the dark matter beer delicious! The service was superior. Would definitely visit this quaint Pub the next time we're on the island. Reserva una mesa ahora

The pub took a rather late reservation for a softball team which was appreciated however service was very slow and the pub didn't seem to be that busy. That said ... anyone I talked with said their food was great. Fish & chips were awesome as was the Asian salad. Would definitely eat here again.

We dropped in for lunch and the food was fabulous. Locally and ethically sourced and creative menu that delivers. A great pub with some all-ages restaurant seating options, wide selection of local craft brews and food to bring you back again and again,

The 6 Mile has an unexpectedly progressive menu for BC's oldest pub. Locally sourced ingredients from Victoria and Vancouver Island farms are identified on the menu. Also a good focus on gluten-free breads and batters. Great service, too.

A slightly different twist on the usual breakfast items. Tasty food, nice service. The only problem I had was the mildew smell, but I guess that's normal in an old building! Will definitely go back. Reserva una mesa ahora
