I have been to this hostelry twice now, once with my partner and her father and one just him and myself. It really is a very nice establishment. Spotlessly clean, tastefully laid out and very welcoming. We had lunch on both occasions which was really very nice, a comprehensive menu and quite a good selection of specials. There is a very nice patio area at the rear with nicely spaced seating and lovely views across the valley. There is ample parking on site. The staff, on both occasions were welcoming and friendly. We will certainly be returning. Thank you

My family and I have just had the most enjoyable Sunday lunch. Food was exceptional as was the service . Home made pies highly recommended. Very helpful and friendly staff. Lovely historic village pub. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Walked up from the canal. NOT OPEN despite published opening hours! EDIT: Presumably in response to my comment yesterday, the pub's opening hours have now been amended on Google.
