Irvington is known for its fine dining options and picturesque view of the Hudson River, as well as it's nonsensical rotation of pizzerias. At one point, there were four within a single block. It was mayhem. Now, only two remain, Tony's and the newly opened Slice Shop. I'll start off by saying the pizza is exceptional. I think this is the best pizza Irvington has possibly ever had. Romeo's was legendary for its size, more than its quality. Irvington Pizzeria (at this same location was great for its environment, but not its mastery of form. Nice guys, decent pizza. Unfortunately, I think the quality has declined over the past couple of months. Plain slice used to get topped with fresh basil and Parmesan. Now it's just an average plain slice. Okay, but not great and if I'm being honest the crust is too thick for the amount of cheese they put on it. Specialty slices were all excellent last time I tried them. Don't know if that changed also but I may not give them another shot. There are plenty of pizzerias in the area. Did you guys change ingredients or lower quality in order to lower prices? I'm pulling for you, but I may just be nostalgic... wishing it was as good as the first visit.
I'm really disappointed that this place has closed down. It offered the best New York-style pizza I've had since I moved to Westchester from NYC two years ago. What set this restaurant apart was the high quality of its ingredients and the attention to detail in its preparation. Everything I tried was fantastic, from the plain and sausage pizzas to the toadstool and grandma varieties. While it was a bit on the pricey side, the quality of the food was exceptional. Dear Owner, I don't know if you'll see this, but your Slice Shop and pizzas will truly be missed.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH $3.25 for a slice? And it's not a large slice, and it's not even a remotely good slice. Too bad! It's been a while since a pizzeria has lasted long in Irvington, and that bad streak is sure to continue. For the record, I have NEVER seen a slice of pizza priced that high, outside of beach boardwalks, or sporting venues. Not even in pizzerias in White Plains or Scarsdale. But at least most of White Plains' pizzerias have good slices. Too bad!

Happened to be passing this place today at lunchtime so I decided to pop in. I ordered two slices of Sicilian, one with mushrooms and preserved lemons and one with Shishito peppers. Both of them were outstanding! I could only eat half of each one. The crust is crisp, there was no garlic, and the flavors were complex and delicate. This is my new favorite pizza joint. A great addition to the town of Irvington!
Delicious pizza! My husband ordered a cheese slice, and it had the perfect amount of sauce—just the right balance without being too strong. We live about 30 minutes north, but I would definitely return for more pizza!
I went to have pizza at 8 PM with six friends, and although the door was open, we were told they were closed. Their hours clearly state they close at 9 PM, which feels like false advertising. Thumbs down!
This place is cooking up some great pies. We tried half pepperoni and half meatball- both were awesome! Wings were nice and crispy too. Found my new pizza place.

Caught slice shop just as they were closing on a tuesday. Their speciality pizza's look and sound amazing! Definitely a must try for the pizza lover.
Salad Pizza is absolutely delicious. Love the hip decor of this modern pizza shop. Glad to have this in Irvington
