I love my coffee, quality and flavour is important to me. Unfortunately I got neither at Smith Street Cafe. The larger cafe has a fresh bright airy feel, but staff seemed confused and distracted. Trying to do too many things at once. Batista chatted with customers known to her whilst ignoring others waiting for orders. Full creama milk was not used - my takeaway coffee was poured into cup and left on the counter to go cold while milk was heated. Milk was not frothed, resulting in a flat milky coffee with no creamy taste. I took one sip and could not feel the love! I threw the coffee in the bin without finishing it. It's not rocket science people - just focus and train barista to make coffee...
Well rounded little cafe off Sheridan St. Almost looks outta place seeing the shops around it. Heard rave reviews about the coffee, and boy I wasn't let down. Decor is cool and hip and the barista had a huge moustache. Brought me back to the 80s. Ordered take away wrap, both were reasonably priced and real easy on the palette. Top notch guys count me in a a new regular.
We had an excellent breakfast at Smith Street Cafe. I had the forked avocado and my husband and children had the ham and cheese sandwich. The forked avocado is a pea and avocado spread over 2 pieces of toast and a poached egg with so great spices! Delicious. Service was also great.
Recently expanded due to popularity. This Cafe still has the best coffee in Cairns. High quality blend, with ever changing single origins. Each unique and distinctively different. Breakfast options are great as is the service.

Stopped in for a quick coffee during a bicycle ride with a mate. nice strong hot coffee with an amazing flavor, i will be returning for more of this great caffeine experience.
Friendly staff, looks like a new coffee and sandwich shop. Hip and mixed crowd, good sandwiches. And wifi, longest password ever, but easy.
